For the first time, a new malware strain has been found targeting Windows containers to disrupt Kubernetes cloud environments. Named Siloscape, it opens a backdoor for all kinds of malicious activity without limiting itself to any particular infection goal. Kubernetes admins are recommended to take extra care to ensure that clusters are securely configured for better protection.
